The Beatles - Help! (1965)

 August 7, 1965 - 56 Years Ago Today: The Beatles had the Hot Shot Debut at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with their single, "Help!" The Lennon & McCartney-penned song was the group's title track to their second motion picture, their 36th chart entry and became their ninth No. 1 single in eighteen months time since their debut No. 1 single, "I Want To Hold Your Hand," began a seven-week run at the top on February 1, 1964. "Help!" enjoyed a three-week run at the top of the chart beginning September 4, 1965 and the No. 1 soundtrack album also produced the No. 1 single, "Ticket To Ride." The title of the motion picture "Help!" was originally 'Eight Arms To Hold You.' "Help!" is ranked at No. 29 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and the single was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Beatles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. They were also the recipients of the Best New Grammy for 1964, the Grammy Trustees Award in 1972 and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
